UAE’s MGX Partners with Nvidia and Sequoia in $40 Billion AI Infrastructure Push
MGX has cemented its position in the AI infrastructure race with a record-breaking $40 billion acquisition of Aligned Data Centers. The deal, the largest of its kind in history, includes heavyweight backers such as Nvidia, Microsoft, BlackRock, and Elon Musk’s xAI. Aligned’s hyper-scale facilities across the Americas will now fuel the AI Infrastructure Partnership (AIP), a $100 billion initiative to expand U.S. data center capacity for AI workloads.
The MOVE follows MGX’s September collaboration with Oracle and Silver Lake in a bid to bring TikTok under U.S. control. Microsoft’s $1.5 billion investment in G42, MGX’s founding partner, further underscores the deepening ties between U.S. tech giants and Gulf sovereign capital. This global circuit of funding and expertise is rapidly reshaping the AI infrastructure landscape.
